The Poetry Society
David has been involved with many larger scale projects in both poetry and drama. Some recent work was for the Poetry Society where he worked at Allerton Primary School in Immingham developing poetry with Y6 to celebrate the annual arrival at the docks of the London Christmas Tree from Oslo. He has also been involved in a year long project working with PGCE Primary students at Bishop Grossteste University College Lincoln in conjunction with the Poetry Society and NFER. Here he has developed work with PGCE students so that they could work alongside him in schools to deliver poetry to their classes ranging from F2 to Y6.
David has developed materials, available from the Poetry Society website, for children in F2, Y1 and Y2 based on the poetry of Edward Lear as part of the 200th anniversary celebrations.

Rosehill Junior School, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, Combined Arts Project
For the last 5 years he has worked with artists, musicians and dancers at Rosehill Junior School in Rawmarsh Rotherham, writing the model story for their annual Combined Arts Project and then working during the week with pupils to develop the drama part of the work, which culminates in two performances for the parents and community. This is a theatre based drama experience but David has also done a huge amount of curriculum based drama, leading to story writing, throughout the primary age range.
